The ingredients of the Mediterranean cuisine are taken from the elements of the land, the sea and the mountain: excellent fish and seafood, fruits and orchard products, meat, cheese and the use of olive oil.

Costa Brava’s cuisine offers this variety of flavours and contrasts; it is the sea and mountain cuisine.

Its most valued asset: indigenous products with guarantee of origin: rice from Pals, prawns from Palamós, blue fish from Sant Feliu...

The best accompaniment for these dishes: the local wines.

Other typical products are the sweet sausages, hand-made fritters, recuits (a kind of fresh cheese ideal for preparing excellent salads and desserts), sautés, chopped garlic and parsley, alioli (garlic mayonnaise). From all these products we obtain our most characteristic dishes: escalibadas (grilled vegetables), salads, apples filled with meat, fricandó, platillo, asados (roasted meat), cuttlefish with peas, fish suquets, rice, chicken with crayfish, creams...
